Here is a full restoration of a client’s Peugeot PX10 from circa 1977. Frame measures 60cm by 58cm center to center. Reynolds 531 tubes, stays, and fork blades. Simplex drop outs and Nervex Italian style lugs. Drive train consists of Simplex Super LJ derailleurs and shifters, Stronglight cranks, Sedis chain, and Lyotard pedals. Wheels are Maillard Peugeot Trophy high flange hubs laced to Mavic Open Pro 36 hole rims. A modern upgrade from the Super Champion tubular rims. Cockpit consists of a Stronglight headset, Atax stem and bars, and Mafac Brake levers. Currently running Weinmann 999 center pulls until Mafacs can be sourced. The carbon seat post and saddle are temporary place holders. The bicycle was powder coated black a few years back and built up with modern carbon components and fork. Upon his retirement he decided to get the bike back to its original shape. Luckily he had most of the original components in storage. The bike was chrome plated and painted at Astro Plating Company.
