Raleigh Competition

Raleigh Competition circa 1985. Frame is 58cm by 56cm measured center to center. Raleigh 555 SL double butted tubing, stays, and fork blades. Drive train consists of Suntour Cyclone derailleurs and shifters, Sugino 170mm cranks with 52 x 42 chain wheels, MKS pedals, and a Sedis chain. Gran Compe brake levers and Dia Compe aerodynamic calipers. Win Stem and Raleigh Bars. Wheel set is mismatched Araya and Mavic. The original Araya rims have been lost over time. New tires, cables, and housing. The entire frame and fork are chrome plated but unfortunately the plating on the rear stays has seen better days. The original owner had painted over some spots where the chrome had started to peel. See picture. Also, there are some scratches and chips in the paint. Other than that this is a great riding bike and will run for years to come.
