S.W. Cotten was a bike dealer in New York city who had frames made by and studied under master builder W.B. Hurlow in the United Kingdom. It is unclear whether this particular frame was made by Hurlow or Cotten. The information handed down from the original owner was that Cotten made it. It is now in the possession of his son of the same name. Regardless, this bike is in absolutely stunning condition. And, although, ridden regularly was impeccably maintained throughout its life. The frame was dressed in full Campagnolo Nuovo Record, Cinelli, San Marco, Mavic and constructed from Reynolds 531. With the exception of about 5 small paint chips there is not a spot of rust on it. Even the underside of the fork crown still has all its chrome. Of particular note is all marquees are hand painted. Definitely a Hurlow touch. Enjoy!
